About this game

Jezebel is a narrative-driven female protagonist visual novel set in the medieval city of Rosegate, the political and commercial hub of a bustling kingdom. You play Duvessa Devereux, an amoral noblewoman scheming her way to the top of the food chain.

RPG elements, branching narratives and a sub-dom alignment system let you steer Duvessa into anything from master manipulator and femme fatale to humiliated and dragged into submission. Your choices shape the characters, the kingdom and the factions vying for power.

Jezebel is a choice based quasi-RPG that embodies a cross section between two of my big interests.

I’m obsessed with big, ensemble political stories with tons of warring groups, ideologies, schemes and betrayals. Obviously, Game of Thrones (the books, specifically) is one of my chief influences, something I wear on my sleeve. I also *love* bad/villainous girls in fiction, whether they be genuinely sadistic and evil or redeemable tsunderes. This game, with its player choice system, is my attempt to do both. Duvessa, and many of the other characters, will develop differently and explore various different kinks based on the decisions you make. My ultimate goal is to create a game with a genuinely great story that invests you enough in the characters to make the sex scenes all the more outrageous and taboo.

Episode 1 is focused exclusively on Duvessa and her return to the city, but the story will start zooming out in scope and reveal the "roster" of main girls in Episode 2. Duvessa is canonically bisexual, but all romantic and sexual paths will be optional except for one FxF which I came to view as neccesary as I was writing the game (in other words, it made no sense for things to be platonic). However, any mandatory sex scenes will be skippable in future episodes.

The current build of the game contains some AI-generated backgrounds. It is my hope that it will eventually be viable for me to replace all of them with art by humans. All of the game's CGs, sprites, music, etc. are entirely man-made.
